The Rotex 90 is a fantastically versatile tool from Festool with the capacity to handle heavy rotary sanding and fine random orbital sanding.

Use the aggressive rotary action for very quick removal of material and old finishes — and then switch to polishing pads for mirror polishing of just about any surface. With either option, the workpiece will be kept safe from scarring with the sander’s builtin brake and its edge protector.

With one more flip of the switch the Rotex RO 90 DX converts from a circular pad to a triangular delta pad in seconds (no tools required). The triangular pad is offset from the main unit so that you can reach into corners and tight crevices. The gear-driven orbit gnaws through the toughest materials and finishes. The lightweight, compact format eliminates fatigue. The Rotex 90’s detail DX head uses the same triangular shaped sandpaper that fits Festool’s discontinued Deltex DX 90 detail sander.

The sander comes two sanding pads – StickFix Soft Round Sanding Pad and StickFix V93 Delta Sanding Pad – the plug-it power cord and a T-Lock Systainer 2.
